Committee Profiles

Projects Department

The Projects Department is dedicated to managing the research, writing, and technical aspects essential for the success of NOVUS’ initiatives. This department is responsible for 1) crafting detailed theme proposals, rules, regulations, and cases, 2) establishing the backbone and framework for existing case competitions and future programs, and 3) managing the execution aspects such as logistics and program of the organization’s projects.

Logistics

Marketing Department

The Marketing Department is responsible for connecting potential contestants, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders with the various opportunities and programs offered by the organization. This department will devise a comprehensive marketing strategy, taking the lead in curating and promoting NOVUS’ publication materials and other promotional efforts. Their tasks include 1) analyzing current trends, 2) executing meticulously planned marketing strategies specifically tailored for a NOVUS project, and 3) effectively promoting NOVUS events. 


Additionally, they will actively engage with schools and participants across the Philippines, manage the organization's social media presence, collaborate with media partners, and oversee design, creative content, and caption creation to ensure cohesive and impactful communication.

Finance Department

The Finance Department oversees the organization’s financial operations, ensuring the efficient management of both cash inflow and outflow. This department is responsible for spearheading initiatives to cover essential expenses for the organization’s events and activities and bookkeeping them. Their other tasks include 1) strategically connecting with companies whose visions and missions align with the organization’s goals to secure sponsorships, 2) meticulously handling incoming money from these sponsorships, and 3) ensuring transparent and effective financial stewardship throughout the year.

External Relations Department

The External Relations Department is responsible for expanding NOVUS’ reach and visibility through strategic engagement and communication efforts. This department mainly manages the organization’s communication channels, ensuring consistent and effective messaging across all platforms. In addition, the external relations department fosters relationships with organizations and media partners to secure coverage and support for NOVUS’ projects. In 2024, the committee will focus on strengthening these connections, increasing participant engagement, and amplifying NOVUS’ impact through targeted outreach and strategic partnerships.

Publications Department

The Publications Department is the news, feature, and editorial writing arm of the organization, dedicated to delivering high-quality coverage of events and programs that promote relevant advocacies and causes. This department is responsible for 1) providing insightful and comprehensive coverage of organizational activities, 2) articulating the organization's position and statements on pressing issues, and 3) creating compelling content that resonates with and informs the community. 

Human Resources Department

The Human Resources Department is dedicated to managing internal affairs and enhancing the development of the organization’s membership capabilities. This department is responsible for 1) ensuring smooth and streamlined internal processes that facilitate efficient and high-quality output, 2) fostering a supportive and productive work environment, and 3) implementing strategies to attract, retain, and develop talent within the organization.
